The works comprised the refurbishment of an existing commercial building and the construction of a new extension to form further office space on the fourth floor, WC extensions to first and second floors together with new mechanical, electrical and lift installations and the erection of a new high level escape gantry.
The works, which were undertaken with very restricted access that required extremely careful planning and liaison with both neighbours and the Corporation of London, were completed to a very high standard.
In recognition of the way the contract was managed, The Corporation of London awarded Cuffe plc with a Special Gold Award in conjunction with their Considerate Contractors Scheme. A further special award not given every year but only in outstanding cases, The Chairman's Cup, was also presented to the company.
