Hornton Court

Cuffe plc has carried out eleven separate contracts for The Phillimore Estate since April 2006, from when it has been ever-present at the Hornton Court apartment block.

The first of these contracts was an external refurbishment project which was procured by competitive tender and consisted of :
▪ Extensive repairs and cleaning to the brick and stone facades.
▪ Repairs to windows and rainwater goods.
▪ Upgrading works to decorative roof and patio areas.
▪ New external lighting.
▪ Escape staircase replacement and refurbishment.
▪ New water tank installation.
▪ New rooflight installation.

The Cuffe 'Good Neighbour Policy' and sympathetic management of these works lead to further negotiated contracts for the refurbishment and upgrading of individual apartments both in Hornton Court and other Phillimore Estate properties.

Cuffe has now refurbished and fitted out to a very high standard nine apartments. In some cases the works included structural alterations to form duplex properties.

Cuffe has also recently completed works to replace the only lift installation in Hornton Court West. This involved the installation of an external temporary lift connected to the rear external escape stairs, removal of the existing lift, major structural alterations and the installation of a new lift and glass enclosure located in a more user friendly position. A new five metre square rooflight was also installed as part of this project.
